Fable II: What happens when you buy Fairfax Castle?
Let's face it, this is a pretty esoteric article, not just anyone out there that likes video games; xbox 360 games in particular knows a large amount about Fable II. And if you're reading this blog post you've probably played through the game and are debating whether you want to pay the 1 Million to obtain Fairfax Castle; one of the biggest landmarks in the game; and although it may not be the most baroque thing it the game my job is to tell you about the new quest it gives, and the reasons you should consider buying it.

New Quest: **Spoiler Alert**
If you've played through every single quest you know of in the game (including the Knothole Island expansion if you have it), then you're probably looking for a new challenge. For those who haven't quite gotten there yet, you've just added to your long list of quests! Once you buy the castle you will step inside and there you will meet the butler. The butler will tell you to explore the castle, you just need to explore until you find the bed. Sleep in the bed and you will find out that it has great rejuvenation powers. Once you wake up the butler will come to you and explain that the castle is being attacked by bandits, you will then go through the castle and kill all of the bandits. Once you have defeated all the bandits the butler tells you that he thinks they entered the castle through a secret entrance and he will tell you that you should go explore. There will be a series of shoot, hit, magic type puzzles inside and they are kind of annoying but do-able. Once you have completed the puzzles you will enter a room and a promotional voice will come on talking about a potion that changes your gender. The potion is in the middle of the room and you can either choose to drink the potion, which will permanently change your gender; or not to take it, which will keep you the same, after which you leave the secret passageway and go back to the castle where you butler will quit his job as your butler and you finish the quest.
Perks:
At the beginning of the game when you enter the castle it doesn't look all that special. When you buy it, you start to realize how big the castle really is. It is probably one of the biggest buildings in the game (next to the spire), and it shows too. I got lost just exploring the dang thing. Besides the size of the castle, the bed contains mysterious rejuvenation powers. It raises your health and gives you purity (at least I think the purity thing is true). One other perk is that it makes you the mayor of Bowerstone. I'm not exactly sure what this does but I think it's pretty cool.
Is it worth it?
I know by now you just want to know if its worth it to dish out 1 million on one single building; especially on a building you can't rent out! My answer to this question is a 98% yes. If you have 1 million to pay, go for it; there is an achievement if you reach 2.5 million net worth in real estate. So go out there and get yourself a castle!

It is strange, that a lot people ask if they should buy the Fairfax Castle. Hey, this is part of the game. And you buy it to remember the murder of your sister. And you will be rewarded with some cash and some stuff you don't need. But it think it will rise your popularity and this is a good thing. It is a high price, but when you were greedy enough you could buy it twice.
