How to get better at any computer skill in 30 days

So you want to learn php? Do it, this guide will give you a few simple steps that will help you to research any computer skill, and learn it to its fullest. It will help you learn programming languages such as javascript, php, html, css, actionscripts, and much more. It will also help you with more simple tasks such as diagnosing computer problems, or updating your machinery.
The amount of effort you put in is essentially what will determine whether or not you learn what you need to learn. If you spend the amount of time you would normally spend watching TV and playing video games trying to learn the concept you need to, you can learn it faster than anything you've ever learned in your life. Most people don't realize how much time they spend doing things that are just effecting their productivity. You have to live  your concept as a lifestyle. When you find a good resource, it is best that you just go for it and experiment with what you do learn.
Your resource can be just as important as a teacher would be of a class. You should spend almost as much time finding a good resource, as you should researching the subject itself. If your resource stinks, all the time you spend trying to learn will go down the drain.
Here's a list of great resources:
php.net
Library.
Let's start with webmonkey, it is the best website possible for people that want to learn different skills in the web development fields. It has tutorials on html, php, javascript, flash, and just about anything else that has to do with web developing.
Never under estimate that power of your local library. It is the one resource that almost everyone under-uses when they should be over-using it. They have books on the topics about anything from cleaning out your email inbox, to putting together the worlds next super computer. The books at the library are reliable resources because they were published and not just put together willy-nilly on the spot.
The number one thing you can do to learn a new skill though, is to find someone that already knows it. A good mentor can give a good hands on feeling that the internet and books don't offer. If you have questions about something, you don't have to take the time to leave a comment or wait for an email to answer it. And a good mentor is always going to be willing to help.
In order to learn a new skill you just have to at least try. Like Nike says, just do it.
